Gas Energy Australia Forums Design Work
In 2024 GEA held our National Forum. I was responsible for the design of a range of print and digital work for the Forum. There was an initial brainstorming session with the whole team for design ideas and concepts, wanting the design direction to both adhere to the GEA style branding while promoting the Forum as an event.
The first thing I did was make an event specific design that could be used across print and digital platforms. As the Forum was held in Melbourne I promoted that using an image of Melbourne City as the core element, this served as the base for colours used in other designs.
Including my digital designs for promotion on our website, in our email signature blocks, in digital newsletters and for social media. These were also utilised on the booking website and within the conference app. In the lead up to the forum, they were continuously used to promote speakers, sponsors and trade exhibitors.
I also designed and arranged the printing of a a number of materials for the event. There were multiple pull up banners, some promoting GEA as a whole, while other’s were to guide attendees to the registration desk and show them how to use the conference app if they hadn’t already downloaded it. There were also name tags for the Forum, these were colour coded to make everyone’s roles easily identifiable, they also contained the program on the back.
Following the event, I received strong positive feedback from both external visitors who attended the forum, and my management who were pleased with the graphics that I had produced. As a result, I constructed a guideline for organising Forums in the future based on the success of the 2024 event.
